The Peacemaker, FCT, GAME & More

Stone & Compass is thrilled at the turn out for the viewing of James Demo's powerful documentary on Padraig O'Mally "The Peacemaker" last night at the Warwick Theatre in Marblehead, MA.

Bringing the film, as well as Padraig & James, to Marblehead was accomplished in collaboration with a number of businesses and non-profits.  Spur, The Warwick Theatre & Palmer's Restaurant, WorkTable, and Stone & Compass - Thank you all!

I (Julie) have now watched the film 3 times and am equally engaged throughout each viewing.  I encourage everyone to 'like' the Facebook page of The Peacemaker as well as put your email into the website so that you can get future communication about the national release of the film and the news associated with its appearances at future film festivals.

If you are interested in finding out more information about Padraig and the work of The Forum For Cites in Transitions check out the hyperlinks.

We hope that you are inspired by the film and work that Stone & Compass is doing to create a legacy of peace, a home for future conferences, a home for GAME & FCT, and a stable future for this work on 'reconciliation' as Padraig explained last night that is very different than a state of 'frozen peace' where there is an absence of violence but no forward moving progress toward understanding others as equal to yourself.  We are all "a family" here sharing our time on earth and we should want to come to the table to listen to each others stories.  Coming to the table to listen and then create action based and tangible 'outcomes' is the work of FCT & GAME. We are working toward reconciliation which begins in people's hearts when they listen to the experiences and stories of the 'other' and they realize they are quite similar to their own. They see the common ground, they feel it in their hearts . . .and then they are willing to work toward reconciliation and beyond the a state of frozen peace. The work of one-to-one connections is essential in this process, but, it takes patience, hard work, time, and some money.   Please consider making a donation as a way to support this work we are doing.

Tax-deductible Donations for FCT and/or GAME can be made out to:

ALSO, as Rob and I said last night . . .all profits from tours and programing at Stone & Compass go back into funding programs like FCT & GAME as well as other Philanthropic work that Stone & Compass does . . . so you can do something for yourself (TAKE A TRIP) and do something for others (HELP SUPPORT PROGRAMING) at the same time! Now that is something to think about!  Click here to read/watch some testimonials from guests who have traveled with us at Stone & Compass.  And here to see all that we have to offer at The Center.

Until next time, which will be more about the new NGO GAME that is focused on supporting Marginalized Youth, - a big THANK YOU to everyone for last night!

Best,

Julie & Rob
