Start your adventure with an overnight flight to London. After you arrive in England in the early morning, you will be picked up by your Stone & Compass guides and take a coach (2 hours) to Harwich. Check in to Pier Hotel and enjoy a warm welcome. The hotel is well known for its superb food and seafront location, with great views of the estuary and the still industrious harbor.
The second of two days touring London. Here is a list of the selection of amazing sights that London has to offer: Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, St. Pauls Cathedral, Westminster Abbey.
We will fit in as many of these as we can in the two days we tour London . . . while still keeping a relaxing and enjoyable pace to our tour that allows time to actually enjoy what you see and not simply drive by and say "Hey look kids, there's Big Ben, and there's Parliament... again.*"

Following breakfast at our hotel we will depart London and head west towards our seaside destination of Torquay, on the 'English Riviera'. The highlight of our journey will be a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stonehenge. We will spend time exploring this world famous prehistoric monument and enjoy learning some of the history in the modern visitor centre. We will arrive in Torquay this afternoon and have the opportunity to relax in this quintessential English seaside town before dinner.
Today we continue our journey through Devon and into Cornwall. Our destination is the pretty town of St Ives, renowned for it's beaches and art scene, which will be our base for the next two nights. On route to St Ives we will visit Restormel Castle, a 13th Century castle offering an insight into the past, wonderful views and photo opprtunities. Before arriving in St Ives we will also visit St Michaels Mount, a tidal island home to a 12th Century castle and fascinating history.
After a hearty breakfast at our hotel we will enjoy sightseeing around St Ives. Highlights today will include a visit to Tate St Ives art gallery featuring the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture garden and the stunningly located Minack Theatre. After dinner we will head to Lands End, the rocky headland that forms the most westerly point of England, for one of the best sunset views around!
Today we will head north along the Cornish coast in search of the legend of King Arthur! We will visit Tintagel Castle, perched on clifftops and steeped in history, myth and rumour as the birth place of the legendary King. This afternoon we will arrive on the north coast of Devon in the pretty town of Lynton, home to the beautiful and historic cliff top railway.
We will leave the coast behind and head back inland to the UNESCO city of Bath, famous for its Georgian architecture and historic Roman baths. We will visit Pulteney Bridge, Bath Market and find time for some retail therapy!
Enjoy a second day exploring and relaxing in the historic city of Bath. Step back in history with a visit to the Roman Baths, stroll around the beautiful architecture of the Royal Crescent and spoil yourself with a traditional afternoon tea!
An early start today as we drive into the beautiful, rolling Cotswolds region towards Oxford. Our journey today will take us to the pre-historic Avebury Stone Circle, lunch in the quaint market town of Marlborough before a stop at the ancient and enigmatic White Horse Hill. We will arrive in Oxford, the 'city of dreaming spires' for dinner.
We will spend the morning sightseeing in Oxford before making our journey back to London this afternoon. We will finish our tour in style this evening with dinner in London.
