A teacher, businessman, and environmentalist, Mr. Goodwin either lived or created business opportunities in London, Puerto Rico, Cambodia, Eastern Europe, and throughout the United States. His interests are human history, cultural preservation, natural resource governance, social harmony, and business development.

Some of his most unique work includes opening a school in Cambodia, creating a restaurant chain in California, national environmental mitigation, archaeological preservation, and landscape design on large estates.

Holding multiple degrees in various fields including Archaeology, geography, and history-Mr. Goodwin strives to bring together cultures from around the world to dialogue and collaborate on a host of issues.


Julie Kiernan is a Professor of Theatre Education and Speech Communication. She has traveled and worked as an actress in a variety of places including Charleston SC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Monaco. She received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of California.

While working as a professional actress in Los Angeles she continued her research and interest in education by teaching for the Los Angeles County School District. One of her current research interests is education as “value-creation” where education is evaluated by its ability to stimulate and awaken human potential.

Julie looks forward to bringing dynamic artists and educators together at Stone & Compass for inspiring retreats that create value in their personal lives and professional careers.


A native of Bulgaria, Emilian was born in Razgrad and now lives in Veliko Tarnovo with his wife and daughter. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Business Management from Ct. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Turnovo. 

He has 15 years of management experience in the fields of; hospitality, real estate, logistics, and human resources. A dedicated person, his interests include nature, culture, traveling, and photography.  He speaks fluent Bulgarian, English, and Russian.



Has a degree in Broadcasting Communication and worked for WKYT-TV, the CBS affiliate for CBS in Lexington, KY for ten years. Tammy is a three sport award-winning athlete. In 2011, she was inducted into the Suffolk University Hall of Fame.

She has held pitching clinics, and worked with college hopeful athletes to improve their skills. Tammy is an avid skateboarder and hopes to bring people together through the sport of skateboarding.
