Retreat, Restore, Revive

Come and join Eleanor Coates ( in the rolling hills of Bulgaria this summer. The retreat will be held in the beautiful Bulgarian countryside in the heady days of summer. The retreat is open to all levels of practitioners who are interested in Ashtanga but also open to harnessing the subtle benefits of a slower, more feminine and quiet practice via Yin yoga.

ELEANOR COATES is a yogi! This doesn't mean she just ties herself in knots in neon coloured lycra, it means she encompass all of the eight limbs of yoga, which is why Ashtanga Yoga speaks to her the most.

Ashtanga yoga constantly reminds the practitioner that there is more to yoga than asana (postures) - there are morals, ethics, breath, concentration and meditation to work with both on and off the mat. Eleanor encompasses the art of yoga in many things; gardening, chanting, observation of moods and energies, passing on a smile, teaching, developing better relations with others and being true herself. Being an authentic yogi means integrating what you've learnt on the mat into real life with sincerity; for honest, independent wisdom via experience will always shine through.

Eleanor understands that the Ashtanga yoga method isn't for everybody's mindset or constitution. She has days herself where practicing it can be adding too much rajasic (active and fluid) energy, so she also practices Yin Yoga (slow, passive yoga) to balance out her gunas (qualities) for a holistic approach to yoga that is conduce to a sattvic (balanced) mind and body.

Eleanor has 200 hours of teacher training in the Ashtanga method and a seperate 200 hours of teacher training in the Hatha method. Both of which were studied whilst living in the motherland of Yoga: India. (These studies have since been authorised by Yoga Alliance UK).

Dionne Reid is a well-travelled holistic therapist, currently living in South Wales, UK.
She came to therapies via grade 3 spondylolisthesis (a 75% slipped vertebra in her lower spine). Dionne was official diagnosed in 2008, when she was experiencing excruciating pain and limited movement.
Putting on additional weight she was at an all time low, however still did not want to take the surgical route.
Dionne decided to take ownership of her health and turned to a variety of manual and movement therapies to help.
Soon the weight fell off and her pain became non-existent. Dionne’s experiences have led her to develop a deep understanding for rehabilitation using manual and movement therapy.
